Link Love (June 2014)

Link Love June

Good morning! What are your plans today? We’re dismantling a single bed and then delivering it to a member of the family – the de-cluttering and passing on of our ‘stuff’ is starting to feel a little endless, but I think we’re getting there. And then afternoon we’re having another look at the apartment we’re buying. It’s empty now so we have the chance to take a really good look at everything (and start making to-do lists!). I can’t wait to move now. Dad seems to be having far more ‘bad’ days and being closer to him is going to make things a lot easier.

As usual I’m a little behind on my blog reading, but here are just a few of my favourite posts from the last few weeks:

Old is New Again: Buy It For Life – Love this!

My Tiny Home – A small home on a farm

Claire has Thoughts on Paring Down My Wardrobe

J has good advice in Do The Best You Can, Dummy

Mrs Financial Freedom asks the question that often gets asked in pf blogging community To Overpay or Not To Overpay Your Mortgage

Ok that’s it for today! Have a fun weekend and I’ll be back tomorrow with a spending report – which is not too bad at all this week (so far!)

PS. The beach hut photo has nothing to do with this post, I just liked it!

A few favourite posts:

If you’re based in the UK then Monevator and Simple Living in Suffolk are a couple of must read sites. Hat tip to Ermine for the heads up on SIPPS and taxes if you’re a non tax payer (like me).

You know I like a good bucket list. Mo’ Money Mo’ Houses has tips on Budgeting for Your Bucket List

I’ll be here tomorrow talking about my de-cluttering progress (hopefully by tomorrow there will be some progress!), but for now here’s a post from Claire that might be of help if you want to get a quick start on your own de-cluttering.

Eva went to beautiful Venice: Carnevale di Venezia 2014

An Exacting Life has had 3 Happy Years of Meal Planning (so far!)

Ok, that’s it for today. What are your plans this weekend? We’re going to Dads and then hopefully on Sunday giving the garden a Spring tidy up! Have a great weekend!
