Welcome to No More Spending.net - a blog about being in debt, paying off debt and life after debt.

I started No More Spending.net in 2007 to make myself more accountable for my finances and to blog my journey to debt freedom. I was a spendaholic for twenty years, but in 2005 I had a huge light bulb moment and stopped overspending immediately. I started making monthly budgets (and sticking to them), sold a lot of stuff (to snowball my debt), and began paying everything off. In the end it took me 4 years and 10 months to get out debt, but I did it, and so can you – it’s never too late to change your money habits.

Since becoming consumer debt free (and even a little before that), my husband and I have been attacking our mortgage debt. We love to travel, especially to Portugal and New York (my favourite place in the whole world), and we try to do this alongside mortgage over payments.
