I didn’t buy a lot this week as I’m trying to use up what we have in the freezer + we’re going to be away for a couple of days. If we do run of out stuff then I’ll pick up a few bits over the weekend. If not I’ll do a grocery run next Monday/Tuesday.

April Grocery Budget* £250 :: Spent so far £136.18 :: Leftover £113.82
Coupons and Points used £0.25

* B is home from university for a few weeks and has given me £50 towards food, so I’ve upped the budget for April.

In 2014 my husband & I downsized our home to speed up our quest for Financial Freedom. We swapped our large three bed house, for a small two bed apartment to clear our mortgage and give us enough budget freedom to travel and still save for the future. Our dream, after achieving Financial Freedom, is to spend part of every year living abroad.

  1. I like the idea of using up what’s in the freezer. I tend to ignore what’s there when I do a food shop and I know I could save money if I didn’t.

    I am having brain strain here, converting the price tags to AUD to get an idea of food costs during our trip to the UK in June. We have booked places where we can cook ourselves (in both France and the UK) so I will definitely have to do a “food haul” post on our trip! (Lol most of our food in France will be wine + cheese…!)

  3. I’m amazed at the value you find. Thirty three pounds for all that seems like an incredible deal. Well done.
