Menu Planning (January #1)

I caved in and bought grocery today, but I’ll be counting it in January’s budget (slightly cheating!), but we were totally out of fruit and fresh veg and I was craving something healthy for dinner!

More details on my grocery haul in Friday’s post, but I bought quite a bit of stuff and spent £82.91…and made a (bad!) video: Grocery Haul Video :)

Our menu Sunday through Saturday:

  • Pasta Bake & Garlic Flatbread
  • Quiche/Salad/Baked Potatoes
  • Sausages/Carrots/Broccoli/Cauliflower
  • Roast Chicken/Broccoli/Carrots/Roast Potatoes/Cauliflower and Parsnips
  • Chicken Curry (using left over chicken)
  • Burrito Bowls/Wraps
  • Haddock Fillets/Mash/Broccoli/Green Beans

  1. I had to break down and go to the grocery store yesterday, too, spending my last $22 for the month! Still, just one more day and then we’re home free…though I have no idea how I’m going to bring something to NYE parties tomorrow. :)

Hi Laura, been busy myself menu planning today for January. Ordered online for del Jan 3rd ( I had free del voucher). I’m hoping my £120 spend will last all month with £20 for fresh top ups if required. Trying to eat healthier in 2014 with a budget of £140 for three. Fruit and veg has become so expensive.

Love the video ;-) We’ve managed to make do without shopping since Christmas Day, but I’ll be off tomorrow to do our first shop of 2014.
