I love the video!!!! You sound so wonderfully British – it’s completely thrown me! I really have been (unconsciously) reading your blog in an Aussie accent all this time – LOL!

It’s great to see the food haul in a video – makes it so much easier to get a handle on how you are putting meal plans together but still sticking to budget. Love it! :)

  2. Fiona says:

Sorry, forgot to say hope you are feeling better soon!

  3. Sue says:

Love the video, hope you’re soon feeling better.

Also love the food porn pictures ….. but then you already know that :-)

  4. Sweetpea says:

Fab video, your accent is very british like Fiona said, but i was reading you in scouse :)….
Would love a wardrobe minimalist style you tube!!
    Sweetpea x

  5. What a clever idea to go over the haul with a video. I love it. It’s also nice to get a bit of your personality & cadence, as it’s always hard to get a full sense of a person from their blog alone.

Nice haul this week: you reminded me that I’d like a cup of tea. Thanks!

  6. Great job on the food video!! I love your accent :)
    Hope you feel better soon!

  7. Viv says:

Loved the video – what a surprise and quite strange to hear a voice behind the blogger. Isn’t it surprising how a little can add up to so much but I think you are doing great. I had a coupon for the curry sauce that you could have had! I think they need to have chairs at the check outs now so that they can let you sit down before they tell you the total!!
Hope you feeling better soon. Great job x

  8. Maria says:

Love the video, nice to hear your voice (even with the nasty cold) keep on doing it!

  9. SarahN says:

That a lot of bread rolls – is that your normal consumption (says the GF girl!). Get well soon! Will get to the video when I’m at home (rather than sneaking a peek on your blog at work)

  10. Michelle says:

When I was in London my friend got me hooked on smoked mackerel. For some reason it’s kind of hard to find though over here!! I love grocery posts from overseas. One of my favorite activities when I travel is to go to the grocery store. Really. I love it.

  11. Aww great video, you do sound very British and exactly what I’d imagined (apart from the sniffing, lol). I hope you feel better now! xo

Hi just tried watching your video and YouTube says it’s unavailable :( I’m currently researching for our budget and I am most concerned about our food budget. We spend way more than you do and don’t know how to reduce it

    • Hi Jenni (I love that name – it’s my daughters too!).
I took the video down because you have to have a Goo gle+ account with You Tube and I didn’t really want one of those – I’m sorry you missed it.
I’m sure you’ll be able to reduce your grocery shopping bill – there’s lots of advice out there on personal finance/frugality sites. Also have you tried Money Saving Expert.
My favourite thing to do is menu planning – it stops me wasting any food and spending a fortune on last minute meals.
