Hello! I lost track of our spending a little over the last two days, so I hope that I haven’t missed anything. Also we’ve put a few things (hubby clothing purchases mainly that I’ve not listed below), on our credit card – the exchange rate is very favourable (£1 = $1.60) and it’s worked out to be a good way to buy things…..as long as you have a transaction fee free credit card! Exchanging pounds for dollars before we left the UK the rate was approx 1.50.
| (Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn) |
Day 8:
$21.50 Chipotle
$35.00 Brunch
$6.42 Crate & Barrel
Total: $62.92
Day 9:
$20.00 Subway
$9.05 Starbucks
$14.10 Mug
$10.56 Pizza and Water
$7.61 Nail Polish
$10.00 Gap T-shirt
$55.00 Dinner
Total: $126.32
Okay that’s nearly it for this holiday as we only have one full day to go. We think (I’ll work it out properly when we get home), that we’re going to be about on target with our spending as we budgeted for clothing. I hope so anyway!!

Hi Rachael and thank you! It’s really hard not to spend on holiday lol! Have a great time and thank you for stopping by
Only 1 Gap T-shirt! Only $6.42 at Crate & Barrel! What restraint!
LOL – I bought 3 [gap t's] in the end and just a couple of small pots from C&B – that is one shop where the wheels could come of my restraint!! Hubby did buy me a new watch though so I still feel very spoiled!
Well done on your spending Laura.
Sft x
Thank you although I do feel like I have a spending hangover now that we’re home! Time for a little cutting back I think!
