- Grocery spending was over budget by £2.90 but I'm still very happy with that!
- The bulk of my own personal spending allowance £65 went on my kids
- I was very lucky and received birthday gift money, so was able to treat myself to a few items of sleepwear and a magazine.
- Hubby paid for all our eating out this month - approx £50
- The cost of our sponsored children has gone up, but hubby is picking up the amount as the money comes out of his personal checking account before he sends money to the joint account.
February Financial Goals:
- Make extra payments to our mortgage to get the balance down to five figures: YES!! The mortgage will be sub £100k when we get up tomorrow morning!!
- Make at least £300 above and beyond and regular income: Yes! Although technically a lot of it was carried over from the end of January!
- Contribute £500 to our travel fund: Yes, added £704, but we spent it!
- Contribute at least £250 to our long term savings: No. Added £138 due to above extra
- Keep our grocery spending to £150: Nearly £2.90 over.
Let me know, how did your February budget plan go?
Back tomorrow with a Net Worth update and a 5 figure mortgage...hopefully :)
