Our Budget: January 2012

I'm finalising the numbers for December tomorrow, but here are our budget targets for January.

There are three changes compared to December;
  1. The personal spending is reduced, and just for hubby, as I'm taking part in Carla's No Spend January.
  2. I've increased the mobile costs due to my new phone.
  3. The telephone line rental annual bill is due and then this amount will be be back to zero in February
I'm hoping for a really good January....I'd even like to reduce our grocery spending if I can.

What are your hopes for January?

  1. January for me is the start of reducing food costs - store bought and going out. Also only shopping for clothes from my annual list. Fewer trips to the coffee shop too. That is enough!

  2. We don't spend a lot of extra money so I need to figure out what our rules are for a no spend month. We only spend $50 per week, so I am not going to reduce that.

  3. I agree with you and Juhli, for us, it's all about reducing our food budget.

  5. I'll be joining Carla's January challenge also - I'm hoping to bump up my EF to an even $2000. As I already do zero based budgeting this will indeed by a challenge, but I'm up for it!

  6. I'm planning on tracking my grocery costs much more closely and finally have DH on board with doing a zero based budget at last so we'll be starting that as soon as our refinance goes through.
    good luck with the no spend challenge
