Financial Goals for October 2011

I’m setting just four financial goals for October as I try to get back on track after spending way too much in September. (I posted these over at Move To Portugal earlier, along with my one non financial goal)

  • Overpay the mortgage by at least £700.  The regular overpayment is £657.66 but I’d like to bump this up to £700
  • Keep grocery spending below £240.  Now that we’re down to three at home this should be possible.  I need to be careful not to over shop like I did last week.  It’s hard to adjust when you’re so used to buying for 4 people…I overestimated how much food we’d need!
  • Keep miscellaneous spending below £100. This. will. happen. :)
  • Make £300 in extra income.  Fingers crossed for this goal as I’d like to boost our savings this month.
Good luck with your financial goals in October!
