In 2012 2016 I want to go on an extended trip to Manhattan. It's my dream to spend at least a month there, rent an apartment and live like a local, if only for a short time.

It's been a while since my last update....probably because progress has been slow; I've been earning extra income, just not channeling it into this account!

So far this year: January's [income] has been saved (£183), February's kept back for future expenses (taxes) and March's donated.......but April has been a good month and I've been able to add another £200 to the fund, bringing the balance to £793.

OK now a slight change. We've taken a decision, due to logistics, to take this holiday over three weeks instead of four. Still amazing, but with so much going on in 2012, it makes it easier to organise (and 20% cheaper!). We've also set the date and I couldn't be more excited. News on that to come at a later date :)

PS. I need to get more organised with how I report my extra income on this site. In some blog posts I list gross amounts, in other net amounts. I obviously keep records for tax purposes, but for the blog reader, perhaps one who's looking to make some side income with a blog, my extra income posts are a little confusing. More on that in April's report.
