I mentioned last week that I've been reviewing all the items/services that we spend money on and deciding if it is possible to make savings anywhere.
So far, most things have to stay, however one thing we realised that we could easily cut out is hubby's haircuts. He keeps it quite short and is/was paying £7 every four weeks to keep it that way. £91 a year to keep his hair short when we could buy clippers for £20 and save that money over and over again. I'm not sure how long clippers last, but it has to be more cost effective
I can't believe I didn't think to do this before!
Do you have a small thing you're missing that could save you a little money every month?

good for you! We have clippers that I will try to keep my dh cleaned up & then he can skip every other haircut... (i just cannot get the fade right!) Good Luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree it,s the little unnecessary things that add up over the year. I used to buy Grazia Magazine every week and at $5.00 a go it was costing me over $250.00 a year, so now i just check it out online and save the difference.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for helping me with my blog links I,ve finally got them all onto the sidebar of posts.xx
Oh no jp what's a fade?! I'm hoping hubby doesn't know what that is; he's getting a number 2/3 all over...lol, this should be fun! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Maureen, yes it's so true; I'm lucky in that I can use Tesco vouchers to get free magazine subscriptions or I wouldn't be having any mags what so ever.
ReplyDeleteIt's no problem re help, happy to help...anytime, just ask :-)
my dad and brother both use clippers, they do it themselves so very easy!
ReplyDeleteYup, the haircut is a good one. I bought clippers a few years ago for my son. I'm not very good at cutting (we keep his hair longer), so as it grows longer, it looks awkward. But we only get him a professional cut once a year to even everything out.
