Almost clutter free

I'm a little behind on my posting and blog reading, however I'm hoping to catch up over the next few days. We've had a quick mini break to Paris over the weekend and now I'm busy getting ready to sell my clutter at a car boot sale {similar to a yard sale} this coming weekend; this should make my house about 95% clutter free.

The trick to keeping clutter free is to stop buying stuff; there is no point editing your possessions and then adding to them again {which I have done in the past!}

Have you done this, cleared out your stuff, only to add to it again?

  1. Well done for clearing out your stuff. You can help yourself with re-cluttering by making a firm decision on any item you're tempted to bring into the house as to whether you really need/want it, and where you will use it. Of course you need to place it there immediately so that you get the full benefit of it. You'll always need to buy stuff, but if you can't visualise a place for it beforehand, then it's usually wisest to step away from the till!
    Good luck...

  2. I think for some people it can be a never ending, continuous cycle of decluttering/buying without them ever realising it. I've just got rid of the last of my daughter's stuff when she came to have a clear out. She's also taken some other clutter to take to a car boot sale when they start up again.

  3. I really, really, really need to work at getting rid of my clutter. I would love to be able to say I'm almost clutter free! 95% is a great ratio!
