Extra Money Earned: March 2009

I can't emphasise enough just how much generating extra income streams, has helped my debt payoff progress so far. Earning £100-£200 extra a month, is like having a 5-10% pay rise. Yes, I may have to put in a bit of work, but for someone like me, where having a permanent second job is out of the question as I'm constantly on call, it's a way of increasing my earnings and getting rid of the debt quicker.

So, how did I do in March?
  • Cash back Sites: £99.37
  • Amazon Sales: £4.30
  • Interest: £0.14

Total:

  • £103.81

This is down by over £67 on February's totals as I haven't received any work from my part time business or any income from my blogs. I only count advertising income when it's paid.

Total for the year so far, £518.81.

  1. I've been doing rather well with Amazon and Half lately - about $75.00 for the month. I tell you - all that helps! I have more I have to do though, life has been so busy I haven't had time to devote myself to the extra income streams the way I should. Time for me to get back to it!

  3. Every little bit helps. I need to sell some stuff but haven't had the motivation. Congrats on getting closer to your goal.

I have to admit that I admire your dogged determination to get debt free. I find that my focus comes and goes, mostly due to the fact we were broke for so many years that it's hard not to enjoy having free cash flow.

Instead what I done is focus on not letting our spending get out of control, I total up the spending each month (rounded to the nearest euro) and as long as we've under budget I'm happy.
