I currently have two children at University. My eldest daughter is already living away from home, at University in London, and my son, who is living at home for his first year, is due to move to his own rental in September. Both, from what I've seen so far, are living or going to be living in luxury accommodation. I'm not sure is this is common all over but all the student apartments I've seen so far have come a long way from back in my day! (Not that I'm that old).
I've no problem with them living somewhere that's quite nice, what worries me is their expectations. When they leave University, and subsidised luxury accommodation is no longer on offer, will they still want it?

Mm, interesting to hear this since I have a child only a few years away from moving out. Wonder what it will be like for him-Have them go through the Dave Ramsey School program---Hopefully they can develop some good financial habits. I sure wish I had went through some sort of educational program on finances before entering the college world...maybe I wouldn't be blogging about being debt free!
