Tunnel Vision, Focus, Going Gazelle any will do, just get out of debt

Whatever you call it, getting out of debt requires commitment. Some people will get out of debt slowly, some will get out quickly, but whichever way you do it, it requires commitment. You have to really, really commit to paying off your debt or it will not happen.

If you can achieve tunnel vision then you are already half way there.

Some ways to achieve tunnel vision:

  • Write down your total debt in large numbers on a piece of paper and place it in a prominent place in your house
  • Write down the amount of money you're sending to debt repayments and envisage what you can do with that money
  • Make a goals board and place that in a prominent position in your house
  • Start a blog - this will keep you accountable and it's fun and free!
  • Read other 'get out of debt blogs' - they're really motivating and make you feel that you are not alone

These are all things I've done to help me achieve debt freedom, what other things have you done?

  1. Hi there-great inspirational tips my dear, I also like to think of what I'll do with the money I'm paying monthly once I'm debt free!! My inspiration is to count down the months-I've 32 to go!!

  2. And after you get out of debt, a tunnel vision of what you want to achieve each year should be the next 'goal'.

  3. I count down the months as well, but also have pictures of what our debt free life looks like all over a wall in the house. It's there in front of us every single day and ensures our goals are never far from our minds!
