Cash is not King

I can't do it, I can't use cash for my grocery shopping. I keep failing so I'm going back to using a debit card. I shop at lots of different supermarkets on my daily travels with work and I keep leaving my grocery purse at home or I mix the grocery money with my other money. I figure using a debit card for convenience and keeping my spending diary will be easier.

  1. Using a debit card is a simple way to automate your budgeting. Combined with personal finance software, I feel that check cards and credit cards provide an easy way to track and categorize your purchasing history.

  2. I've done both and switched back to cash. I simply take out my alloated amount (shopping coffee eating out petrol etc) for week and that's what I spend, what ever is left over goes into savings/debt reduction
