Update

Well I’m now a married lady. Everything went really well and we had a lovely day. My new hubby is still fast asleep so I’ve got up to post:)

My thoughts are already turning to next year and clearing more debt. I need to up my game on earning extra income to pay off £15,000 in 2008. My annual appraisal went well however I still don’t know what percentage increase in salary I’m getting. We are also starting to overpay the mortgage in 2008 by £600 per month. Most of this money will come from OH however I am contributing some as I feel its only fair.
The grocery costs are getting more challenging due to price increases, everything seems so much more expensive and I need to update my price book. I do however need to stick to a budget of £200 a month. Any way I will focus on this when I get back.

We’re off to NY in the morning for our honeymoon, paid for by our lovely parents, we intend to do as much free stuff as possible so if any of you have any ideas then please let me know. To be honest I’m quite happy wandering the streets just looking at everything. My brother has bought us tickets to see a show which was lovely of him and my children gave us dollars to pay for an evening meal so it should be fun. Sorry for the rambling, I think I’m excited.

See you all next week:)

  1. I’m not surprised that you new hubby is fast asleep, it’s a known fact that men sleep better when beside their spouses! Certainly is true for me.

To save money on shoppping try using a price book. It has helped me, for the most part keep my shopping budget under control inspite of the sky rocketing cost of food.

  2. Congratulations on your marriage. And yeah! for choosing NYC for your honeymoon. I’m a local resident and the best thing to do is just walk along the streets, especially 5th Avenue and look in all the holiday windows for free! That’s what I do.
I’m off for the city also.
    I’ll be thinking of you.

  3. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your new hubby. I hope you have a wonderful time in NY. It’s a great time to go. All the Christmas decorations are in the store windows!

I love what Rob in Madrid said. That was so sweet.

BTW, I’ve tagged you for a meme. It’s called 7 Random or Stange Things About Me.
